Cairo International Stadium

As the original construction took place 1956-1960, Cairo International Stadium in Nasr City, is not only a Cairo landmark, but a landmark in the history of the ACE Company. Constructed as a stadium around a soccer field and a running track, it is known for being an awe-inspiring one for all African soccer teams, owing to its relatively large capacity of 74,100 seats.

The stadium is a multi-purpose one in terms of the different kinds of sports it can host. It was inaugurated by President Nasser on Egyptian national day in 1960. Since then, it has hosted numerous events that make it a window to Egypt’s sports history during the past 5 decades as well as Africa and the Middle East. It is one of the largest stadiums in Africa and is designed to accommodate much greater loading conditions than its specified capacity.
